About Carlos

Right now I am trying to be a teacher and a student, as I am finishing studying Philosophy and Film at the UGR at the moment. I also studied HR & RRLL. I live with a boy from New York and after telling me about his experience as an English teacher on an online platform, he inspired me to do the same too, but with my native language. I prefer to be honest and transparent, I am a beginner in this, I do not have much experience, but if I did not feel that I could measure up, I would not be here. I have worked on many things despite my young age. I have been a driver, receptionist, waiter, delivery man. The most similar experience giving private classes that I have had has been helping fellow students to pass an exam days before and teaching my nephews in elementary school. I am an empathetic, flexible and analytical person. They often tell me that I am a lovable, patient and listening person.

About the lesson

First of all, I will try to establish a link or connection with the student, so that the student feels that the classes are serving them something. I think that sometimes, when it comes to learning a language, if we talk about trivia, things from everyday life or anecdotes, time passes quickly and yet we do not realize that we are learning at that moment. I am a person who began to lose hope in the old teaching methodologies, although I must admit that they are effective. I want to try to do what some of my teachers managed to do, and that was: teach with delight. For me, the student has to enjoy the lesson. He has to feel fulfilled and even at times useful about the teacher. I will always listen to a student if he wants me to modify some methods as long as the student believes that it will favor him. My idea is to use a very dynamic methodology, and relying on technology (if the student prefers); documentaries, videos, movies, etc. Depending on the student's level of Spanish, I will devote more attention to what is most lacking. While grammar, spelling, reading comprehension, listening and / or speaking. In the event that the student wants to polish all the aspects, I can create a fairly large program with all the sections.
