About Aritra

Although I am more of a person who spends most of their time of research (which includes discussing with colleagues, writing papers, attending seminars etc), I also do have a keen interest in teaching.

Over the last five years, I have taught various undergraduate-level courses (Mathematical methods, Electrodynamics, Thermodynamics, Statistical Mechanics, Solid State Physics) at a government-aided college in India.

I thoroughly enjoy teaching and interacting with young minds!

About the lesson

I am a theoretical physicist and as such my lectures involve building up ideas about the physical world from scratch using the language of mathematics. I can teach all undergraduate level courses in physics (except for electronics) and all core courses at postgraduate level. My classes are 1-1 but in the online mode.

Apart from this, I can also lecture on specialized courses such as advanced statistical mechanics, general relativity, quantum field theory, gauge theories, and advanced mathematical techniques (such as manifolds, fiber bundles, and Lie groups, etc).

I am interested to tutor well-motivated high-school students as well as physics undergrads/postgrads, preferably with an interest in theoretical physics. Although this is not absolutely necessary, I will assume that you are going to be a physicist some day and will train you likewise.

Note: If you are looking for someone who would provide notes for the purpose of cramming, then I am not the right person.
