About Bella
I received my bachelor's in English Literature from Ball State University in May of 2020 and my MFA in popular fiction and publishing in May of 2022. Currently, I am a PhD candidate at the University of Southern Mississippi’s Center for Writers, studying creative writing with an emphasis on fiction. I have three years of experience teaching at the collegiate level, having taught at Purdue University, Grand Canyon University, Ivy Tech Community College, and USM. I also taught at the high school level for a year while earning my MFA. Additionally, my I have a total of three semeters tutoring in writing from Ivy Tech Community College and USM. My debut novel, “Princess and the Pauper,” is being published by Wild Ink Publishing on May 6th, 2025.

I believe in meeting a student where they’re at. I believe everyone has the capability to write and write well! The focus of my lessons will be establishing a foundation and a love for writing. We can obviously go over grammar and punctuation, as those are important, but being able to tell a story (even in an academic paper) is where I want you to shine.
