About Niamh
My aim is to build student's confidence in their abilities so that they feel ready to tackle their exams. I have taught BA students for the past three years motivating them and getting them exam ready. I have also tutored students for the leaving cert previously. I will provide notes and useful phrases from the texts you are studying and will work on developing your own voice for essay writing. I teach a specific technique that sets out specific steps for preparing a great essay and will give helpful feedback to improve your writing and for memorisation in the lead up to exams.

I teach how to prepare for English exams, focusing on a break down of essay writing and how to prepare and shape your paragraphs. I also give techniques for memorisation and will give useful phrases and quotes from texts to feel fully ready for any exam. I have a BA in English and Classics and an MA in Culture and Colonialism and I am completing an English Phd (3rd year). I have two children and I also work as a Forest School leader for the past 3 years. I love working with children and helping to build their confidence in their abilities. I have 5 years teaching experience. I am happy to have any levels from junior, senior or BA. I'm happy to do 45 mins up to 2 hour lessons depending on what your needs and availability are.
