About Freddy
Hi all! My name is Freddy a PhD student in computer science and math, who is here to tutor you!
I currently work as a researcher in computer science and math. I am published academic in computer science/math education and believe that everyone is capable of succeeding in technical fields given enough time and practice. I often tell students to think of STEM and standardized tests as a foreign language. Mastering them requires lots of hard work, but given the effort anyone can succeed in these often difficult fields.
As a PhD student I have taught undergrads for the past two years, and have provided a number of high school students with standardized test tutoring over my academic career.
I'm looking forward to working with you!

As a tutor, I believe it is my goal to not just teach you how to solve a problem, but also why that specific solution worked. Doing this not only improves test scores, but also allows for students to deepen their understanding of the material and provide them the tools to deepen their own study.
My general approach is to first provide an assessment that allows me to pinpoint areas of weakness, and then provide a mix of interactive problem solving and skills building. I generally work best with students who are already performing well, and are looking to take their performance to the next level.
