About Melika

Hi, I’m Melika! As a PhD student in Biological Sciences and an experienced university Teaching Assistant, I am deeply passionate about making science accessible, understandable, and engaging. Having navigated the rigors of advanced academia, I know firsthand how overwhelming biology can feel when you are studying alone.

That is exactly why I am dedicated to creating a supportive, stress-free environment for my students where no question is ever too small. My academic background has equipped me with the skills to quickly identify exactly where students get stuck and provide the clear, practical guidance needed to overcome those hurdles. Whether you are aiming to boost your grades, prepare for a major final exam, or simply build confidence in your coursework, I am patient, adaptable, and completely invested in helping you succeed every step of the way!

About the lesson

Are you struggling to make sense of complex biology topics? As a PhD student in Biological Sciences and an experienced university Teaching Assistant, I know exactly where students get stuck, and how to get them unstuck.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my academic background combined with my daily hands-on experience in the sciences. I know what professors and examiners are actually looking for, and I specialize in translating high-level, intimidating concepts into simple, relatable ideas. My goal isn't just to help you memorize facts for a test; I want to help you truly understand the material so you can boost your grades and your confidence!

My teaching is patient, interactive, and completely tailored to your learning style. A typical session includes:
Quick Review: A brief recap of past topics to solidify your memory.
Core Concepts: Breaking down new, difficult material using clear analogies and visual aids.
Active Application: Working directly through problem sets and exam-style questions so you are fully prepared for test day.

My lessons are designed for high school and undergraduate students who want to excel in biology. Whether you are prepping for a stressful final exam, tackling a difficult assignment, or just want to build a stronger scientific foundation, I am here to help you succeed!
