I am a nature and animal loving space and sci-fi geek. I work in the space sector but one of my greatest joys has always been in sharing science and STEM with others, from academic conferences, to general public audiences and school classrooms. My teaching philosophy is grounded in social constructivism, recognising that learning is most effective when students actively engage with ideas, connect new knowledge to prior experiences, and learn through discussion and exploration. I use multimodal and multi-sensory teaching approaches, tailoring lessons to different learning styles through visual, verbal, practical, and interactive activities. I view diversity as a strength and intentionally incorporate diverse voices, perspectives, and ways of knowing into learning experiences. At the heart of my teaching is a commitment to fostering joy in learning, building student confidence, and developing deep critical thinking skills that empower students to become independent and reflective learners.
