About Patrícia
I have experience teaching in university and scientific contexts, including as a Guest Lecturer in Microbiology and Mycology and as a speaker for Science Communication events for diverse audiences.
Currently, I work on education projects and curriculum restructuring in Veterinary Medicine. This professional background allows me to deeply understand how students learn and to adapt learning objectives to different profiles and needs.

My teaching methodology is tailored to your specific goals, whether you are a beginner in Portuguese or a PhD student preparing for a defense. I believe in "learning by doing" with a focus on real-world application.
For Language Students (European Portuguese):
- Conversation: We will focus on pronunciation, natural phrasing, and cultural context (PT-PT) - music, literature and food!
- Writing: I provide detailed corrections for essays, emails, and professional documents - as well as informal confident conversation!
For Presentation & Public Speaking (EN & PT):
- Structure: I help you organize complex scientific ideas into a clear narrative - and I will share relevant literature and examples to inspire your content!
- Delivery: We will practice your speech, tone, and pacing. Drawing on my 10 years of theater experience, I will teach you techniques for stage presence, voice projection, and overcoming anxiety and stuttering.
- Visuals: I offer feedback on your slide design and content flow.
My classes are a safe space to make mistakes and learn! Whether you need to prepare a script for a conference or simply want to speak Portuguese fluently, I am here to guide you.
