About Ruhan
I am a PhD graduate from South Africa in Environmental Sciences, but don't let that fool you into thinking I only aim at being scientific. During my studies I also substituted for teachers at small schools working with small groups of students that all required individual attention and different approaches to enable an understanding of their work. These students ranged in age and experience, with biology being taught in the scene of natural sciences or life sciences from grade 4 to 12 with particular focus on their curriculum in order to make their own work more understandable and give them the best possible chance of performing well in exams.

I have a love for teaching biology to students, and have experience in teaching it to individuals from a different background. I always aim at individualizing it to the individual in order to make it more understandable and fun to learn. The aim is always to inspire and this can only be done through having a passion for the subject. Attention is always given to detail and focus on areas where students may have difficulty.
I can teach biology in both English and Afrikaans and use the material that the students have in front of them in order to make their own material more understandable, while using practical examples to make the material relatable and less abstract. Lessons are always aimed at single subjects or themes in order to prevent overwhelming the student and giving them the best understanding possible of the subject at hand.
