About Omar

My name is Omar H., and I hold a PhD in Economics with a focus on financial integration and economic stability from an Islamic perspective. I also have a Master’s in Islamic Economics and Finance and over 13 years of teaching experience in both university and international school settings. My PhD research is a groundbreaking comparative study of Islamic and capitalist models of financial globalization. It demonstrates how historical Islamic systems—like those of the Umayyad, Abbasid, and Ottoman periods—achieved greater economic stability, lower inflation, and fewer crises. The thesis anticipates current global trends toward deglobalization and argues that developing countries can regain control over their economies by reducing dependency on volatile global capital, adopting self-sufficiency strategies, and forming regional Islamic economic blocs. It also highlights Malaysia’s success as a real-world validation of these ideas. I am certified as a Shari’ah advisor and auditor and have participated in numerous conferences and training programs in economic research and Islamic finance. Hello, my name is Omar H. I have over 13 years of experience teaching Economics, Islamic Economics, and Finance to high school, university, MBA, DBA, and Master's students. My approach is interactive and student-focused. I simplify complex ideas, relate them to real-world cases, and encourage critical thinking. I also share relevant materials and readings before each session to help students stay prepared. A typical lesson includes: 5 mins: Quick review and Q&A 20–30 mins: New topic discussion with PowerPoint 10–15 mins: Exercises and applications 10 mins: Open discussion, research insights, and critical questions I offer strong support for students working on research projects, helping with structure, sources, and deep understanding. My lessons are ideal for undergrad and postgrad students, especially those pursuing Islamic Economics and Finance.
