About Keila
Physiology is a great passion of mine that I greatly enjoy teaching, so much so that I hope to move forward as a professor/teacher in it! I received my BS in Physiology in 2020, and recently earned my MS in Physiological Sciences in May of 2022, both at the University of Arizona. As a Master's student I taught the physiology lab sections for one academic year. Currently, I am a 3rd year PhD candidate at the UofA within the Physiological Sciences program. Watching as students learn and grow their knowledge -- making those key connections! -- is always greatly rewarding.
My favorite topics to discuss are cardiology, reproductive physiology, the immune system, renal physiology, and histology.

Having taught A&P as a graduate student at the University of Arizona, I have come to find what students find most difficult and how to navigate around such learning challenges. Given my experience I prefer sitting on one with students to tackle a learning issue rather than prepare a lecture/lesson plan.
My expertise is applicable to physiology and anatomy courses ranging from highschool levels to college/university standards.
