About Ben
I am a PhD candidate in cognitive neuroscience with experience across psychology, neuroscience, physiology, research methods, and statistics. I completed my undergraduate psychology degree with first-class honours and received the University Medal for outstanding academic achievement. I have also worked in cognitive neuroscience research at the Queensland Brain Institute and have experience tutoring at the university level.
I specialise in helping students understand challenging topics in neuroscience, statistics, psychology, and research methods. My approach is clear, patient, and practical. I aim to make complex ideas easier to understand while also helping students build confidence in how they think, study, and apply their knowledge.

My lessons are tailored to your goals, current level, and course requirements. I can help with neuroscience, psychology, physiology, research methods, statistics, assignment planning, exam preparation, and journal article interpretation.
I focus on breaking complex ideas into clear, manageable steps so you understand the underlying logic rather than just memorising content. Sessions may involve working through lecture material, practising statistics problems, planning assignments, reviewing drafts, interpreting research papers, or preparing for exams.
My approach is structured, patient, and practical, with the goal of helping you leave each session with clearer understanding, greater confidence, and specific next steps for study.
