About Marius
I am a PhD candidate in human genetics. My daily tasks involve analyzing multimodal genetic, clinical, and other behavioral data from large datasets. I am well-equipped to deal with topics my students are studying.
My lessons always conclude with clear feedback that goes both ways. I am open to receiving feedback from my students to continue improving my tutoring ability and to cater to their needs.
At the end of each lesson, I prepare worksheets for the student to complete to identify gaps in their understanding, which we cover at the next lesson.

I believe the best way to learn math is to engage with it directly and encourage students to tackle problems they haven't seen before. During my lessons, I present problems to students and ask them to attempt it first without instruction. These lessons stick when a student is allowed to struggle through a problem and fail in a safe environment. Together, we discuss what they already know and identify what they need to learn to reach the answer. In an ideal lesson, the student would be speaking just as much as I do!
