About Eric
My teaching style is formal but friendly. I hold my students accountable for their work but also reassure them that I’m on their “team”. I understand how difficult and intimidating academics can be and I work hard to make students understand their own intelligence while also learning to develop realistic studying and learning techniques. My teaching awards are all won as a result of students nominating me and this speak to the friendly yet professional relationships I build with them.

I am a UC Berkeley educated PhD candidate available for private tutoring.During my undergraduate training I taught science courses at UC Berkeley. Upon graduation, I tutored high schoolers in math and science throughout the Bay Area. My PhD work has focused on biology and during that time I have taught university-level molecular biology as a TA and lecturer. Along with many awards and accolades for my teaching, I have garnered a passion for individualized teaching methods. Additionally, as a person with ADHD I have learned how to work with students who have trouble organizing their work and thought. All my students receive personalized and careful lesson prep and learn to approach all subjects with critical thought and structured learning techniques.
