About Issiaka
I was born and raised in Bamako, Mali, I earned a bachelor degree in Teaching school called ENSUP of Bamako. I also hold a master’s and PhD degree in African and Postcolonial Studies from Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar. As a Fulbright scholar at Temple University , my research interests focus on African literature and civilization in French and in English.
In addition to my career as literature professor, I have also published creative writing works as part of my commitment to narrating the stories and experiences of Mali Empire impact on today West Africa.

I’m very creative with my teaching methods, trying to adapt my class to my students needs. I emphasize a communicative approach, in order to get the most out of every lesson. You will be really delighted of learning French. My goal as a teacher is to motivate my students to learn and find meaning in what they do in every class. I strive to show them the benefits of learning a foreign language and the advantages of bilingualism. But above all, I try to give the best to my students.
