About Richard
I have been teaching on part-time for the past 8 years coupled with providing conference lectures during the past 12 years. I have taught over 500 students who used the access routes (University entrance exams modules), as well as taught over 500 students at both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Many of my students are now in the Universities and in industry plying their business professions. I teach from an activity-based approach with a practical perspective to the accounting, finance and auditing practices. I engage my students in order to draw down on reflective thinking.
I have also worked (and currently work) as a Full Time academic (Lecturer and Senior Lecturer) in Accounting and Finance across renowned Universities in the UK.

I am an FCCA, a holder of the ACFE qualification, a holder of an Advanced Diploma in CIMA Management Accounting, an MBA holder (with Distinction) and a First Class B.Com Graduate. I have worked in Audit and Assurance as a Chief Audit Executive (with World Vision Int'l), an External Auditor (with KPMG), as well as a Financial Analyst (with USAID) over the past 12 years. My teaching philosophy is to make learning as pragmatic and interesting as possible and to entice/motivate my students to need more of the subject matter. I am biased at motivating my students to enrol onto any of the Globally recognised professional exams and my lessons are geared towards making the student an authority in the field of Accounting and Finance. My students tend to be confident in the subject matter of Accounting and Finance. Finally, I hold a PhD in Accounting and Finance, a PGCert and PGDip in Research Methodology in Business and Management Studies from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. I am currently based in England.
