About Pavithra
I am an MD Pharmacology postgraduate in a Government College with a strong interest in clinical pharmacology, medical education, and research.
Throughout my medical training, I have developed a strong foundation in pharmacology and enjoy explaining complex concepts in a way that is simple, structured, and clinically relevant.
As a postgraduate in Pharmacology, I understand the challenges students face with the subject, from remembering drug classifications and mechanisms to applying pharmacological concepts to clinical cases and preparing for vivas.
My teaching approach is patient and student-centered. I focus on understanding concepts rather than relying purely on memorization, and I adapt my sessions according to each student's level, syllabus, and learning goals.
I particularly enjoy helping MBBS students build confidence in Pharmacology and approach the subject with a clear and logical framework as they are our future doctors.
Whether you need help understanding a difficult topic, preparing for an examination, or getting ready for a viva, I would be happy to help you learn Pharmacology with greater clarity and confidence

Pharmacology can feel overwhelming with endless drug names, mechanisms, adverse effects and classifications. My goal is to make it 'simple, logical and clinically relevant', rather than something you have to memorize blindly.
I am an MD Pharmacology postgraduate, and I offer personalized online Pharmacology classes for MBBS students and other medical/health-science students.
My classes can help you with:
• Understanding pharmacology concepts from the basics
• Mechanism of action and clinical applications of drugs
• Drug classifications and important drug groups
• Adverse effects, contraindications and drug interactions
• Clinical case-based pharmacology
• Exam-oriented preparation and revision
• Pharmacology viva preparation
• Difficult topics that need extra explanation
• Building a structured approach to answering theory and viva questions
I believe in concept-based learning, where you understand the "why" behind a drug rather than simply memorizing facts. I can adapt the class according to your level, syllabus and upcoming exam. I will be teaching with flowcharts to make it easy to reproduce.
Whether you are starting Pharmacology from scratch, struggling with a particular topic, or preparing for an exam or viva, we can tailor the sessions to what you need.
Classes are interactive, student-focused and conducted online.
If Pharmacology currently feels like a giant list of drug names, let's turn it into something that actually makes sense.

Teaching Method & What to Bring to Class
My teaching approach is 'concept-based, interactive and tailored to each student's needs'. I believe Pharmacology becomes much easier when the concepts are understood logically rather than memorized as isolated facts.
Depending on your goals, classes may include:
• Concept building: Understanding pharmacological principles from the basics
• Mechanism-based learning: Connecting mechanisms of action with therapeutic effects and adverse effects
• Clinical application: Relating pharmacology to common clinical conditions and patient scenarios
• Drug classification: Learning classifications using simple frameworks and memory aids
• Exam preparation: Focusing on important topics, frequently tested concepts and structured answers
• Viva preparation: Rapid revision, commonly asked questions and practice with clinical reasoning
• Case-based learning: Applying pharmacological knowledge to clinical cases
• Revision sessions: Focused revision of difficult or high-yield topics before examinations
• Doubt clarification: Dedicated time to address concepts you find difficult or confusing
I will adjust the pace and depth of teaching according to your current level, university syllabus, upcoming examinations and individual learning needs.
What should you bring to the class?
You do not need any special equipment or expensive study materials.
Before the first class, please have:
• Your current syllabus or list of topics you want to cover
• Your textbook/lecture notes that you normally use
• Any previous question papers or important topics provided by your college, if available
• A list of specific topics or concepts you are struggling with
• A notebook or digital document for making your own notes during the session
You are welcome to share screenshots or questions from your lectures, textbooks or previous examinations beforehand so that I can tailor the session accordingly.
I can explain concepts using diagrams, flowcharts, clinical examples, tables and memory aids wherever useful.
Most importantly, you do not need to be "good at Pharmacology" before joining. Whether you are starting from the basics, trying to improve your exam performance, or preparing for a viva, the classes will be structured around where you are currently at and where you want to reach.
All classes are conducted online and are one-to-one, allowing you to ask questions freely and learn at your own pace.
