About Silpa

I am a passionate and dedicated Mathematics teacher with a strong academic background and over 5 years of experience teaching secondary-level Mathematics.

My own journey in Mathematics has helped me develop a deep appreciation for the subject, and I enjoy helping students see Mathematics as a logical and enjoyable discipline rather than just a set of formulae. I believe every student can make progress with the right guidance, encouragement, and learning approach.

Throughout my teaching career, I have supported students of different abilities, helping them build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and achieve their academic goals. I create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, and developing their problem-solving skills.

I am committed to making lessons engaging, personalised, and focused on long-term understanding. Whether students need support with schoolwork, exam preparation, or are aiming for top grades, I provide structured guidance to help them reach their potential.

About the lesson

I am a qualified Mathematics teacher with a PGCE with QTS and over 5 years of experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.

My lessons focus on building strong conceptual understanding rather than memorising methods. I use a student-centred approach where I identify individual learning needs, address misconceptions, and help students develop confidence in problem-solving. I use clear explanations, visual representations, real-life applications, exam-style questions, and structured practice to support students in achieving their goals.

Each lesson is personalised according to the student's level, learning pace, and targets. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, with flexibility to arrange longer sessions when required, especially for exam preparation or advanced topics.

My lessons are suitable for students aged 11–18, including those preparing for GCSE, IGCSE, AS Level, and A Level Mathematics. Whether a student needs support with challenging topics, wants to improve exam performance, or aims to achieve top grades, I provide structured guidance and encouragement to help them succeed.
