About Mohammed

The unique delight of witnessing a student grasp a concept and achieve that “eureka!” moment is the fuel that nourishes my passion for teaching. I am a patient, approachable, and passionate tutor who creates a supportive and engaging learning environment. My friendly and adaptable teaching style helps students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenges with confidence. By fostering curiosity and a positive attitude towards learning, I ensure that students stay motivated and enjoy the process of mastering maths and science.

About the lesson

Observing the growth and development of my first set of students when I first began tutoring drove me to pursue a gratifying career in teaching. My tutoring journey began when I completed my GCSEs 8 years ago. Since then I have obtained a degree in Biomedical Sciences and a PGCE in Secondary Maths. I am a teacher who tailors lessons to each student’s needs, ensuring they build confidence and develop a strong understanding of key concepts. My approach focuses on breaking down complex topics into simple, relatable ideas using interactive methods, real-life examples, and problem-solving exercises. I emphasise conceptual learning over robotic memorisation, encourage a growth mindset, and equip students with effective study techniques and exam strategies. My goal is not just to improve grades but to inspire a genuine interest in science and maths, helping students reach their full potential. Typically my lessons are 1 hour or 1.5 hours for each subject. I have extensive experience in tutoring Maths and Science at all levels ranging between KS1, 2, 3, 4 SATs and GCSEs.
