About Elizabeth
Hiya! My name is Elizabeth, but you can call me Libby. First things first - I'm not here to make you love English. You don't even have to like it. My job is to help you understand and learn English in a way that's fun for you, and hopefully incorporate some of the stuff you enjoy into our lessons together. I've tutored students from years 7-12 for the past 9 years, with most people coming away with great results. My sessions are here to make sure you improve in the areas you want to improve in, and I'm willing to use whatever weird and wacky ways we can find to make it stick. :)

My lessons are usually an hour long and focus on 1-1 teaching methods, breaking down concepts such as TEEL essay structure and literary techniques in a way that allows students to understand *why* we analyse texts and the importance of the language that teachers and examiners look for. I've been tutoring for the past 9 years both online and in-person, and have two Bachelor Degrees in English, Creative and professional Writing, Editing, and Publishing. I tutor for years 7-12 with an emphasis that students don't have to enjoy the subject - they just need to understand and give it their best.
