About Marcelo

Hello, I teach physics and mathematics.
I obtained a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a comparative evaluation of studies done by the MICC of Quebec, Canada. As an Engineer, I worked for many years for a lot of different industries before deciding to become a university professor. I realized that teaching was my passion and what I wanted to do full time. I give my students simple explanations for complex subjects and help them relate them to everyday problems. I guarantee that I'll engage with you and respect your learning speed so you will feel motivated, interested, and involved in the learning process. If needed, I can teach in English, French or Spanish.
Also, I’m the father of two amazing homeschooled/worldschooled boys, aged 11 and 14. I have a deep love for traveling and exploring a wide range of topics, from science to history. Music is a big part of my life—I enjoy both listening to it and playing it. Our home is filled with several instruments, along with the joy brought by our two cats and a playful puppy dog, making it a lively and creative space.

About the lesson

Before or upon scheduling our sessions, I kindly ask that you inform me of the topics you wish to explore. Sharing the material you're currently studying in advance of our meeting will significantly enhance our sessions. This advance information allows me to familiarize myself with the subject matter and better understand the specific challenges or questions you're facing.
In this class, the curriculum is personalized to cater to the learner's unique interests and needs across a diverse array of subjects in physics.
The topics we may cover include kinematics, forces, energy, momentum, light, sound, optics, electricity, and modern physics.
