About Loulou

Hi! :) I’m a professional flutist and saxophonist. I’ve been playing for around 10 years & I’m excited to be your teacher. I have certifications of my advanced level of performance for both flute & saxophone from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. I have taken exams with them and I passed them all with high marks. I've been teaching for over a year on another platform with 15+ 5-star reviews (Preply). I have experience in performing in solos, orchestras, casual settings, large audiences, duets, and with a band. I am European, American, and Lebanese, so I am able to understand students who come from a variety of different cultural backgrounds!

I was one of around eight people from my entire high school band selected twice (for both years offered) to travel to Düsseldorf, Germany and play the flute for the Western European Honor Band (~February & March 2018 & 2019). I have performed in bands, large audiences, recitals, solos, duets, auditions, played with my high school band several concerts throughout the year, etc… during my high school years (~2017-2021). I was a member of my band for 7 years (~2014-2021). I was 1st chair flutist.

I have done casual performances and professional performances in front of large audiences (present). I received a Fine Arts award in high school in 2017. I entered competitions for Carnegie Hall/Musikverein & AMIS, but due to Coronavirus at the time, they were canceled/postponed and it was only valid for high school students. I was selected to play solo sections in my band in high school. I have more than 5 years of professional experience with playing the flute, saxophone, and understanding music theory.

I'm currently in my 4th year of university (~2021-present) majoring in mathematics and minoring in both philosophy and marketing.

About the lesson

Your progress is important to me and I’m here to support you throughout your journey guiding you from beginner to a professional level in any style you’d like to learn.
For each class, I’ll personalize the lesson to your specific goals and needs & provide helpful study material. I’m happy to provide any feedback and answer any questions you may have offline as well.

I’m at an age where I can relate to kids and adults, so I currently teach a variety of students no matter what level and age & they tell me that they really enjoy the lessons.
