About Reggie

I am a flute tutor who enjoys helping students discover the joy of music while building skill and confidence. My teaching combines creativity, mentorship, and accountability. I focus on developing tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control, along with expressive musical interpretation. I also include music theory, sight-reading, and listening exercises to develop complete musicianship. Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, small compositions, and musical exploration. I guide students to set goals, stay accountable, and track their progress consistently. Mistakes are treated as valuable learning opportunities. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, skill level, and personal interests. I act as a mentor, offering support, guidance, and motivation in every session. I emphasise critical thinking, reflection, and problem-solving in lessons. My teaching builds confidence, independence, and discipline in students. I also teach related subjects such as performance preparation and rhythm. Lessons are structured but engaging, balancing technical exercises with creative activities. I aim to create a positive, inspiring, and motivating learning environment. My ultimate goal is to help students become expressive, confident, and passionate musicians who enjoy every step of their musical journey.

I use creative activities to build confidence and imagination. Theory, rhythm, and listening exercises are included to improve understanding. I adapt lessons for each student’s level and interests. I encourage reflection and independent thinking. I celebrate effort and progress equally. I teach related areas such as theory and performance skills to create complete musicians. My approach helps students find balance between discipline and fun. My ultimate goal is to inspire a lifelong passion for music and learning.
