About Juan

Hello! My name is Juan, I am an advanced student at the Escuela de Musica Popular de Avellaneda. I have been playing the guitar for 10 years and more than 4 years of formal study. In addition, as a teacher I have been giving classes for 2 years in person and virtually, recently I started teaching in English as well.

About the lesson

Hello! The classes I offer are completely personalized. Depending on the student's objectives we plan together a path that covers the necessary knowledge to fulfill them.
I specialize in popular music, I am very versatile at this point, we can learn from folk to jazz or classical.
Whatever style we want to play, it is extremely useful to understand the basics of music theory in order to understand our instrument. It is also very important to develop a good technique in both hands to achieve fluidity and dynamics in our playing and to be able to play more complex pieces.

Are you short on time and just want to learn how to accompany yourself with the guitar in some songs? No problem! We will learn how to read the chords and how to place them on the neck in different positions.

Do you play the guitar but you're stuck and don't know how to progress? We are looking for new sounds! The possibilities are endless: scales/modes, harmonies, speed, new techniques...
