My Science Tutoring Approach (Years 7–9):
As a current high school student studying Chemistry and Biology, I offer personalised and syllabus-based tutoring for students in Years 7 to 9. My goal is to help students feel confident, prepared, and genuinely interested in science by focusing on both understanding content and building strong skills.
Teaching Methodology & Techniques:
I teach according to the NSW Science Syllabus, going through the syllabus outcomes and dot points to make sure students are learning exactly what they need.
I focus not only on theory but also on developing essential “Working Scientifically” skills—such as analysing data, writing practical reports, understanding variables, and interpreting scientific information.
I provide clear, easy-to-understand notes, summaries, and step-by-step breakdowns of each topic.
Students receive lots of practice questions, past exam-style papers, and skill-based worksheets to reinforce learning and boost their exam confidence.
Lessons are highly personalised—we focus on what the student needs most, whether that’s revising past topics, preparing for a test, or improving practical skills.
Lesson Length:
Each lesson typically runs for 1 hour, but this can be adjusted depending on the student’s focus or preference.
Qualifications & Experience:
I’m currently in Year 11 studying Chemistry and Biology, so I have a strong understanding of the science content taught in Years 7–9.
I’ve worked with other students before and know how to explain things clearly and simply, especially when concepts feel confusing.
I’m organised, patient, and always come prepared with extra resources that match the syllabus.
Who My Lessons Are For:
My lessons are for students in Years 7–9, whether they’re:
• Struggling to keep up
• Preparing for exams or assessments
• Wanting to strengthen their skills and understanding
• Or just looking to get ahead in science
Flexible & Supportive:
Lessons are available both online and in person, depending on what suits you.
I’m also available to help outside of class if a student has a quick question or needs extra clarification before a test.
My focus is always on helping students feel confident, capable, and prepared. With the right support, science doesn’t have to be hard—it can actually be fun!
