About Gemma

I’m an experienced English teacher who loves reading, writing and teaching. Finding new and interesting ways to help others enjoy the subject and understand it better is something I genuinely enjoy. I see how the subjects I teach can be so useful to so many people and I like to help others benefit from it too.

About the lesson

I place students at the centre of my tutoring, adapting resources and approaches to suit individual needs. I tailor my sessions to meet both a student's learning style as well as their learning goals. I have worked with SEND pupils in specialised roles in a school setting and in 1:1 tutoring so I am able to support a whole range of learning needs. My entire ethos is that the young people I work with should understand and feel engaged every step of the way in order for them to progress.
