• 1) Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

  I speak Spanish fluently because it is my native language, but my passion for languages goes far beyond that. I also speak English, Italian, and a bit of French. Learning languages, discovering cultures, and connecting with people around the world has always fascinated me, and that passion is what inspired me to become a teacher and share Spanish internationally.

• 2) Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language’s culture?

  For me, Gabriel García Márquez is an emblematic representative of Spanish-speaking culture. His magical realism captures the imagination, emotion, and storytelling spirit that is so deeply rooted in our cultural identity.

• 3) Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behavior in the language that you particularly like?

  One of my favourite Spanish expressions is:
  
  “Donde hay vida y alegría.”
  
  It reflects the warmth, optimism, and emotional depth that define the Spanish language and the way we communicate.

• 4) Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  Speaking Spanish matters to me because it is part of who I am. I feel incredibly fortunate to be a native speaker of one of the most powerful and widely spoken languages in the world. Spanish connects me to my roots, my family, my culture, and now to my students across different countries.

• 5) What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

  Many learners find Spanish verb tenses and the difference between ser and estar challenging. The best way to overcome these difficulties is through clear explanations, real-life examples, and consistent practice. I always adapt my teaching to the student’s level and goals, making the learning process intuitive, enjoyable, and motivating.

• 6) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

  A memorable anecdote from my school years is that my name is Alexandra with an X, but my Spanish language teacher called me Alejandra for five years straight. As a language teacher, he should have been the first to pronounce it correctly! That constant mistake stayed with me, and in a way, it inspired me to become a Spanish teacher myself—because language, identity, and attention to detail matter.

• 7) How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

  Traveling has shaped me enormously as a teacher. I love languages, cultures, and discovering the world—it’s my biggest passion. Living abroad and exploring different countries has helped me understand how learners think, how different languages influence each other, and how to explain Spanish in clear, natural ways that make sense to students.

  What makes me a Superprof is my combination of experience, passion, and teaching style. I am a native Spanish speaker and a certified teacher with more than three years of experience teaching children and adults, both online and in person.
