About Tore
I am a classics and linguistics graduate with a deep passion for the history, grammar, and literature of classical Indo-European languages such as Latin and Ancient Greek.
My focus is on meeting the student's needs and interests and also ensuring that they meet any requirements from their educational institutions.
Greek is a beautiful language with a rich history, and by making students express their interests and have input in their own language development, I aim to build passion and appreciation for both the history and literature of Ancient Greece and the larger Greco-Roman world.

I base my teaching on the Living Language principle. This means that in addition to translation and grammar exercises, students will be exposed to large amounts of day-to-day spoken Greek.
This methodology allows students to both internalize rules and vocabulary in a natural way and also allows them to gain a true appreciation for the musicality and subtleties of the language.
My main interests lie in epic poetry, mythology, and history, but I also incorporate readings from the New Testament. That being said, the student’s needs come first, and readings will be adapted accordingly.
Lessons can be conducted in Norwegian, Swedish, or English, with Ancient Greek being incorporated more and more in discussions as students gain proficiency.
