I use a range of techniques, mainly stemming from Maths Mastery and Shanghai techniques. Taking my pupils through concreate ,pictorial and abstract processes. I have experience with working in special need schools and have taught pupils with SEND regularly. This includes regularly teaching children like ADHD, Dyslexia , SEMH, ASD. As a Maths specialist, I have completed comprehensive training in Mathematics mastery, and have been a teacher and an advocate of this approach the last 3 years. Focussing on the concrete, pictorial and abstract, Pupils must be given every opportunity to explore, recognise patterns, hypothesise and be empowered to let problem solving take them on new and unfamiliar journeys.
