About Esme

With 6 years of Guitar tutoring experience and more than 300 students taught, I bring a warm, friendly, and systematic approach to every lesson. I work with High School students, College learners, and adults, helping them discover music in a way that feels natural and enjoyable. My focus is always on making students feel supported, confident, and excited to learn.

My teaching philosophy centers around strong foundations and meaningful practice. I make sure students understand the core skills—rhythm control, chord accuracy, finger movement, strumming patterns, and basic song structure. I also include simple theory in a clear and practical way, so students learn how scales, chords, and progressions are connected. This helps them understand the music they play.

One of my key achievements is helping many beginners reach a point where they can play complete songs smoothly within a short time. Several of my students have performed at festivals, cultural events, and small live shows. Their confidence and improvement inspire me to continue creating effective lesson plans.

I design my lessons to be flexible, interactive, and easy to follow. I often use familiar songs and real-life music examples so students stay engaged. My goal is to help every learner enjoy guitar learning while developing real musical skills they can be proud of.

About the lesson

My teaching approach for Guitar focuses on open communication, learning-style adaptation, and connecting every lesson to real music. I believe that students learn best when lessons feel practical and engaging, so I always teach through simple explanations and relatable examples.

I begin with essential guitar basics such as proper posture, chords, strumming patterns, and timing. As students progress, we explore scales, picking techniques, fingerstyle patterns, improvisation, and tone shaping. I include examples from songs, live performances, and musical case studies to show how real musicians use these techniques. These examples help students understand how to apply what they learn.

Along with Guitar, I teach related subjects such as Songwriting Basics, Music Theory, Ear Training, Rhythm Studies, Chord Construction, and Tablature Reading. These topics help students build a strong musical foundation and support long-term growth.

Communication is at the heart of my teaching. I take time to understand each student’s musical goals and preferred learning style. If a student learns visually, I use diagrams and visual patterns. If they learn through hearing, I give listening-based exercises. If they learn by doing, I guide them through slow and steady practice.

Each class includes demonstrations, guided practice, weekly goals, and personalized feedback. My aim is to build the student’s confidence, technique, and musical expression while ensuring every lesson feels enjoyable and motivating.
