About Chingi
With 12 years' of drum teaching experience and a Master’s in Performance Arts, I bring a professional and expressive approach to every lesson. My performance background includes theatre shows, concert halls, and live band events. These experiences allow me to teach drumming from both technical and emotional perspectives.
I help students understand the importance of timing, dynamics, and stage presence. Lessons focus on developing strong, clean technique. I believe in teaching through both structure and musical freedom. Students learn coordination, rhythm reading, and groove development. I work with individuals at all skill levels. My teaching environment is energetic, supportive, and motivational. Students receive practice plans designed to encourage daily improvement.
I emphasize positive reinforcement and clear instruction. I enjoy helping learners build confidence and musical maturity. Drumming is more than rhythm—it’s communication and expression. My drum lessons focus on developing strong technical skills, coordination, and musicality while also fostering creativity and self-expression. Lessons cover timing, stick control, hand independence, coordination, groove, dynamics, rhythm reading, and expressive phrasing.
I integrate exercises, play-alongs, improvisation, and song practice to make learning practical, engaging, and enjoyable. Students receive guidance on effective practice routines, milestone tracking, and goal-setting to ensure steady growth. My teaching environment is supportive, encouraging, and motivating, allowing learners to explore creativity and take risks. Lessons emphasize listening skills, musical analysis, and practical application in solo and ensemble contexts.
Students gradually develop technical precision, coordination, independence, and rhythmic awareness. I celebrate milestones and achievements to maintain motivation and reinforce progress. Each session balances structured skill development with creative freedom, allowing students to grow musically and artistically.
