About Zachary
Do you hear the music clearly before your fingers touch the ivory keys? I have spent 13 years in Chicago cultivating the discipline of inner hearing for both advanced performers and hobbyist adults.
My pedagogy focuses on the rigor of hand position, posture, and rhythm to ensure your technique serves your artistic intent. Jazz improvisation and chord voicing share space with scales and sight reading in our work. I support students in mastering memorization techniques to build total confidence. You will find my approach emphasizes precision and careful listening above raw physical speed.
