About Tess
I am a violin tutor with over 8 years of experience and a Graduate Diploma in Violin Pedagogy. My teaching integrates technical development, music theory, aural skills, and sight-reading into meaningful practice.
I focus on preparing students for music theory exams and mastering advanced harmony. Practical exercises with scales, intervals, and chords help students connect theory directly to their violin playing.
I work with exam candidates as well as students seeking stronger musical fluency. Sight-reading and ear training are included in every lesson. Lessons are personalized to the student’s level and goals.
My approach develops technical skill alongside musical understanding. Students gain both expressive playing and theoretical insight.
I aim to help learners become well-rounded, confident violinists. Together, we will strengthen both technique and musical knowledge.
