About the lesson

My Teaching Methodology and Techniques: I believe that no student is "bad at math"—they simply haven't had it explained to them on their own wavelength yet. My methodology is centered entirely around patience, simple real-world analogies, and building solid foundations. The "Bite-Sized" Technique: I break down intimidating math problems into small, logical, easy-to-digest steps so students never feel overwhelmed. Encouraging Environment: I create a safe, warm space where making mistakes is celebrated as a natural part of learning. This completely removes the "math anxiety" that holding many students back. Visual Adaptability: I use straightforward, visual sketchpad tools during online lessons to help abstract concepts (like fractions or algebraic functions) become clear and visible. A Typical Lesson Plan (60 Minutes)Every session is structured to give students a sense of routine, success, and clear progress:First 10 Minutes – The Warm-Up & Confidence Boost: We review a simple concept from the previous lesson that the student already mastered, ensuring they start today's session feeling successful and ready.Next 20 Minutes – Breaking Down the New Concept: I introduce the day's core math topic using simple, real-world examples, avoiding heavy academic jargon. We solve the first few problems together hand-in-hand. Next 20 Minutes – Supported Independent Practice: The student tries a few problems on their own while I watch encouragingly, stepping in gently to guide them if they get stuck.Last 10 Minutes – Wrap-Up & Celebration: We summarize what they learned, celebrate their breakthroughs, and set up a tiny, stress-free practice goal for the week.
