About Lois

Hi! I'm Lois, a Civil Engineering student with a strong background in mathematics and a genuine love for working with children. Teaching kids is something I truly enjoy because I love seeing them grow in confidence and discover that math can be fun and understandable.

While I'm beginning my journey as an online math tutor, I already have experience tutoring preschool and elementary students in person. I've learned that every child learns differently, so I always teach with patience, kindness, and encouragement. My goal is not only to help students improve their math skills and grades but also to build their confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving abilities.

I create a warm, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment where children feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a child smile and say, "I understand it now!"

I can't wait to help your child grow in confidence, enjoy learning math, and reach their full potential!

About the lesson

I make math fun, simple, and easy to understand! I teach step by step using easy examples, pictures, games, and real-life situations that children can relate to. I encourage students to think for themselves while guiding them whenever they need help, so they become more confident problem-solvers.

Each lesson starts with a quick review of what we learned before, then we explore a new math topic together. We'll solve examples as a team, practice with fun activities, and finish with a short recap to celebrate what they've learned and identify anything they want to practice more.

I'm patient, kind, and encouraging, and I believe every child can succeed in math with the right support. I create a friendly, positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.

My lessons are perfect for Kindergarten to Grade 8 students, whether they need extra help, want to improve their grades, or simply want to become more confident and enjoy learning math.
