About Lyss

I am a dedicated and patient math tutor who focuses on helping students build confidence and understanding, not just correct answers. What sets me apart as a tutor is my supportive and understanding teaching style. As a college student, I understand how stressful school can feel, especially when math doesn’t come easily. I focus on helping students truly understand the “why” behind problems instead of just memorizing steps. I aim to create a calm, judgment-free space where learning feels manageable.

My lessons are best for middle school and high school students, especially those taking general math, pre-algebra, algebra, or geometry. I also support students who feel anxious about math, need homework help, or benefit from slower, structured explanations.
