About Joseph
Hi, my name is Joseph, and I am a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying Computer Science and Data Science. I take tutoring seriously and aim to create a supportive, structured learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making progress. I am patient, reliable, and focused on helping students truly understand the material rather than just rushing through assignments. My teaching style
- I focus on making things make sense, not just rushing through problems
- I explain concepts out loud step by step and slow down when students need it
- I ask questions as we go so I can tell what the student understands and where they are stuck
- I try to keep lessons calm and encouraging so students feel comfortable asking questions
What a typical lesson looks like
- We start by going over what the student is working on in class or any assignments they are struggling with
- I walk through examples with the student and explain my thinking
- The student practices similar problems while I watch and give feedback
- We end by reviewing what we covered and talking about what to focus on next

- I have a strong problem‑solving background as a Computer Science and Data Science student at UNC Chapel Hill
