Hi! I’m Ella, a confident and approachable Spanish tutor who understands what it’s like to juggle school, sports, and learning a second language. I’m a well-known and active high school student involved in competitive cheer and soccer, and I bring the same energy, discipline, and team spirit into my tutoring. Because I’m still in high school myself, I know how frustrating and intimidating Spanish can feel—especially when you don’t want to mess up in front of others. About the lesson

Hi! I'm Ella, a high school student and Spanish tutor who truly understands how awkward, frustrating, or even embarrassing learning a new language can sometimes feel—because I’ve been there myself. That’s exactly why I focus on making Spanish fun, approachable, and judgment-free, especially for students who feel shy or stuck.
My teaching method is all about relating to the student’s experience and creating a comfortable space where making mistakes is part of learning—not something to be afraid of. I use a mix of conversation practice, grammar support, vocabulary games, and real-life examples to help things click in a way that feels natural. I keep lessons interactive and casual, so it doesn’t feel like another boring class.
A typical session might start with a few simple warm-up questions in Spanish, followed by a focus on one topic—like verbs, sentence structure, or pronunciation. Then, we’ll use what we’ve covered in conversations, practice exercises, or even short writing or listening activities. If you have homework or need help studying for a quiz, I’ll work through it with you too.
What sets me apart is that I’m still in school, so I get the pressure of assignments, participation grades, and test anxiety. I’ve found ways to make Spanish easier and even fun, and I want to help others feel that too. I’m patient, encouraging, and never make you feel silly for asking questions or not getting something right away.
