About Sonaakshi

Hi! I have a background in Biotechnology and I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Bioinformatics at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in Science, particularly Biology, along with areas such as cell biology, genetics, microbiology, biotechnology and basic chemistry.

I also have experience teaching children. Alongside Science, I teach Computer Science and technology to young children at another institute, including programming, robotics and creative technology. I really enjoy working with children and making subjects that may seem difficult feel more approachable.

I’m patient and understand that every student learns differently. I have moved schools and lived in different countries myself, so I have experienced different teaching styles and learning environments. This has helped me become adaptable and understanding when working with students.

I’m happy to work with beginners and school students and can help with school-level Science, especially Biology. My aim is to help students build strong foundations, understand concepts clearly and become more confident in their learning.

About the lesson

My lessons are adapted to what each student needs. I use simple examples, diagrams, relatable explanations and fun mnemonics to make Biology easier to understand and remember. I also encourage students to ask questions and work through topics step by step rather than simply memorising them.

If a student is preparing for exams, I can focus more on exam-style questions, common patterns, revision techniques and applying knowledge to questions. If they need help with specific doubts, we can focus on those areas and work through them until they are clear.

For students who simply want to learn Biology out of curiosity, lessons can be more exploratory and focused on understanding how things work in the real world. I adapt the pace, examples and techniques depending on the student, their level and what they want to get from the lessons.
