About Ava
I am a dedicated nursing student with a strong background in health sciences and a passion for helping others succeed in challenging courses. Throughout nursing school, I have developed effective study strategies for subjects such as Health Assessment, Pathophysiology, Anatomy & Physiology, and NCLEX-style testing.
I understand how overwhelming nursing school can feel, especially when trying to connect large amounts of information. Because of this, I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve grades and exam performance, but also to build long-term confidence and critical thinking skills that will carry into clinical practice. I take pride in being patient, reliable, organized, and committed to helping each student better understand the material rather than simply memorizing it.

I specialize in helping nursing students truly understand health assessment and pathophysiology instead of just memorizing information. My lessons focus on breaking down difficult concepts into simple explanations that are easier to apply on exams, clinicals, and NCLEX-style questions.
I work with nursing students taking courses such as Health Assessment, Pathophysiology, Anatomy & Physiology, and fundamentals. Sessions are personalized based on your learning style and current struggles. We can review lecture material, study guides, practice questions, case studies, disease processes, lab values, head-to-toe assessments, and clinical reasoning.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and highly interactive. I like to use step-by-step explanations, memory tricks, diagrams, and practice questions to build confidence and understanding. I also help students improve test-taking strategies and connect concepts together so the material actually makes sense.
Whether you are preparing for an exam, trying to improve grades, or feeling overwhelmed by nursing school content, I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where questions are always encouraged.
