About Allegra

Hi, I’m Allegra. I’m passionate about literature, writing, history, and helping students build confidence in their learning. I’m currently studying at TAFE and spend much of my time researching literature and the humanities, writing essays, and working on my own novel.

I understand that school can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when students struggle with confidence in reading or writing. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their skills, and learning at their own pace without pressure or judgment.

I particularly enjoy helping younger students improve their reading comprehension, writing, spelling, grammar, creative thinking, and overall confidence in English and humanities subjects. I believe learning should feel engaging and rewarding rather than stressful, and I always aim to make lessons patient, positive, and personalized to each student’s needs.

As someone who genuinely enjoys learning and creative expression, I love helping students discover confidence in their own ideas and abilities.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is focused on creating a supportive and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and developing their skills at their own pace. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style depending on the student’s age, confidence level, and learning needs.

For English and humanities subjects, I focus on building strong foundational skills through clear explanations, guided practice, discussion, and positive encouragement. I help students improve their reading comprehension, writing, spelling, grammar, essay structure, and creative thinking while making lessons engaging rather than overwhelming. I also encourage students to think independently and build confidence in expressing their ideas.

Lessons are typically between 39 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the student’s age and attention span. I aim to keep sessions interactive, balanced, and productive while ensuring students feel supported throughout the lesson.

Although I am currently beginning my tutoring journey professionally, I have extensive personal experience with essay writing, literature analysis, creative writing, and humanities research. I am currently studying through TAFE and am also writing my own novel, which has strengthened my understanding of writing structure, creativity, and communication skills.

My lessons are best suited for primary school students and younger high school students up to Year 7 who are looking for extra support in English, reading, writing, history, philosophy comprehension, humanities, and creative writing.
