About Greg
I am a singing tutor with 6 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Music. I specialize in Classical, Pop, Rock, and Country singing, tailoring lessons to each student’s goals and interests. My teaching combines technical skill with musical expression, helping students find their unique voice. I focus on ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory to build a strong musical foundation. Every lesson is personalized, ensuring students at all levels—from beginners to advanced—make steady progress. Vocal technique, breath control, and pitch accuracy are emphasized alongside performance confidence. I also guide students in stage presence and expressive delivery, preparing them for recitals and performances. With patience and encouragement, I aim to make learning engaging and enjoyable. My approach balances discipline with creativity, allowing students to explore their musicality freely. Ultimately, I strive to develop not just skill, but a lifelong love of singing. My teaching approach for The Fiddler and The Music Major focuses on building confidence, pitch accuracy, and expressive vocal performance. Each student receives personalized techniques suited to their unique strengths and goals. We begin with foundational breathing exercises to support sustained notes and dynamic control. Vocal warm-ups and health routines are integrated daily to maintain a strong, flexible voice.
For pitch accuracy, I use ear training apps that help students recognize and correct subtle tonal differences. Metronomes guide timing and rhythm, ensuring precise delivery in both solo and ensemble settings. Recording devices allow students to listen back, reflect, and track improvement over time.
I encourage The Fiddler to connect emotionally with each piece, transforming technical skill into musical storytelling. The Music Major benefits from structured exercises that refine technique while enhancing performance versatility. Short, focused sessions build confidence gradually, while longer practice segments deepen mastery. Students leave sessions empowered, expressive, and ready to perform at their best.
