A Little Bit About Me
A Dedicated Language Tutor
Hello, my name is Mary - it's lovely to meet you! Since 2023, I have been working as an English Language Instructor in Thailand and in the UK. I'm TEFL-certified, having obtained the 230-hour Level 5 Diploma in TEFL and also the Ascentis Level 3 Award in English for Literacy and Language Teaching in 2023. I also hold a First Class Honours degree in Bachelor of Science Accounting and Finance from the University of Leicester.
I offer tailored language tuition to meet your learning goals through the PPP teaching style (Presentation, Practice and Production). After running an initial needs analysis and level test during your 30-minute free trial lesson, I'll put together a personalised learning plan for you that will involve vocabulary building, pronunciation refinement and improving your comprehension and production of the four foundational language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing, just to name a few.
I welcome people of all ages and English levels who wish to improve their English language skills, whether you are living here in the UK or elsewhere in the world. I welcome asylum seekers, refugees, primary, high school, college and university students, as well as working professionals.
I have experience preparing primary school children for the International Cambridge Primary Checkpoint examinations, Cambridge Flyers examinations and examining students for the IELTS speaking examinations.
Moreover, I work hard to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of new curriculum content and provide teaching that is appropriate for each individual's needs and level of study, by attending continual CPD sessions with leading educational providers.

My academic qualifications include a First Class Honours degree in Bachelor of Science Accounting and Finance, obtained from the University of Leicester in 2021.
I obtained the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting in 2026 and am a MAAT-qualified accountant (Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians).
