About Laurel
Hi! I'm a singing tutor with 10 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Music. I specialize in teaching Classical, Pop, Rock, and Country styles to students of all levels. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I’m here to guide your musical journey. My lessons combine vocal technique, performance confidence, and a deeper understanding of music. I place strong emphasis on ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory to build a well-rounded singer. Each lesson is tailored to fit the student's voice, goals, and musical taste. I believe in creating a safe, encouraging space where students feel free to explore and grow. Together, we’ll work on breath control, tone, range, and expression. I also help students prepare for auditions, performances, and recording sessions. My goal is to help you find your unique voice and use it with confidence. Let’s make singing both fun and meaningful.

My voice lessons focus on building strong technique, emotional expression, and confident performance. For both The Suzuki Student and The Orchestra Member, I tailor my approach to support their unique musical journeys. Breathing techniques are taught early using simple exercises to improve control, stamina, and tone. Vocal health is a priority, and I teach habits to keep the voice strong and flexible.
For pitch training, I use engaging ear training apps and vocal tracking tools to help students hear and match notes accurately. The Suzuki-style student benefits from a nurturing, repetition-based method that builds muscle memory and confidence step by step. I use call-and-response singing, gentle corrections, and storytelling to make learning feel natural and joyful.
The Orchestra Member often thrives with structured, ensemble-aware techniques that develop blend, balance, and dynamics. I guide them in connecting emotionally to lyrics while staying technically precise in group settings. Both students learn performance skills such as posture, stage presence, and expressive delivery. Every lesson is paced to support growth and musical connection. Together, we create a space where each voice can shine.
