About Agnes
I am a passionate piano and music teacher with 23 years of teaching experience. I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a Master of Arts in Music Education, and an Enhanced DBS certificate.
Throughout my career, I am teaching in schools, music groups and private lessons, working with students of different ages and abilities. My experience as a school music teacher has helped me understand how children learn best and how to adapt lessons to suit individual needs.
I believe every student can succeed when they are taught with patience, encouragement and the right learning approach. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than seeing students grow in confidence and develop a genuine love of music.
I currently teach in the UK and welcome children, teenagers and adult learners of all levels.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s age, ability, interests and learning goals. Whether you are a complete beginner or preparing for ABRSM examinations, I provide structured, engaging and enjoyable lessons to help you make steady progress.
One of my teaching strengths is helping students develop strong music reading and sight-reading skills from an early stage. I believe that learning to read music confidently allows students to become more independent musicians and enjoy a much wider range of repertoire.
Lessons may include:
• Music reading and sight-reading skills
• Piano technique and hand coordination
• Rhythm and musical understanding
• Performance preparation and confidence building
• ABRSM examination preparation
I offer both one-to-one and small group lessons. My aim is not only to teach students how to play the piano, but also to develop confidence, creativity and a lifelong enjoyment of music.
