About Vinay

Hi, I am Vinay and I have just finished my A-Levels. I am hoping to study Politics this September at the University of Warwick.

Over the Summer I am hoping to expand my tutoring experience further. In the past, I have tutored friends and family and helped them to improve their grades and become more confident in what they do. I have been met with positive feedback about my teaching ability.

I am able to tutor confidently the A-Level Subjects that I took and am immensely interested in.

I am able to teach Politics, English and Spanish all up to A-Level. I am predicted 3A* and achieved all grade 9s in my GCSEs.

In my experience, the best teachers I have had are responsible, enthusiastic and hardworking. In that vein, I will try and replicate this in my lessons. Using my revision resources, advice and subject knowledge, I will seek to try and make you feel more confident in your chosen subject. This will often be by focussing on where you don't feel particularly confident.

I have learnt in my education thus far that practice, responsibility and hard work will lead you to success, and this is something I will try my best to promote in my lessons.

Government and Politics…
A Level Edexcel – UK Politics, UK Government, Political Ideas (Liberalism, Conservatism, Socialism, Nationalism) and US Government and Politics.
We will ensure that you are confident with the course content by going over any questions you have about political processes. I will also try to promote and explain current affairs in lessons as these are something you can get into your essays. More importantly, we will focus on Essay Writing and how to achieve the higher grades by scoring the top A02/3 marks.
I am able to teach Edexcel for all of the above, and AQA for the Course Content but not essay writing/exam skills

English…
I am able to teach English Language or Literature from beginner (11+ and at KS3). If you let me know the certain skills and texts you are covering, I will hopefully be able to help
(I)GCSE English Literature – I am able to teach the following common texts. Macbeth, An Inspector Calls, Of Mice and Men, Animal Farm. I am able to go through all of these texts confidently and help you with any essay writing/questions.
IGCSE Edexcel English Literature and Language– I am able to teach the whole Anthology for both Language and Literature and the exam skills associated with it.
AQA – I can teach you the whole of the power and conflict anthology but not the exam skills associated with it.
For English Language in general – I am able to teach key skills on poetry analysis, creative and transactional writing with practice questions.
A Level English Literature OCR – The Merchant’s Tale, A Doll’s House, The Great Gatsby, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, American Literature Unseen, Twelfth Night, White Teeth, Small Island the Play, Seamus Heaney poetry collection (If you are doing another exam board but studying one of these texts do let me know as I can help with understanding it). I am able to help with exam technique and course content for all of the above, if you are doing OCR.

Spanish…
Beginners level and KS3 – Using my past experience of helping beginners, I can introduce you to the language and its key concepts and grammar, in a fun but educational manner.
For GCSE I am able to teach both AQA and Edexcel, with all exam skills covered (Reading, Writing, Listening Speaking)
For A Level I am able to teach AQA – I am able to help you for Paper 1 – Exam Skills, Paper 2 Writing on (Maria llena eres de Gracia and El Coronel no tiene quien le escriba) and all speaking topics/cultural for Paper 3 (Including Tarjetas and IRP Help)

I have been a gcse student with Vinay for around 2 months so I could push my grade for regular grade 4s in tests. Vinay has gotten me in just 2 months getting regular 7 and 8s. His teaching methods are interesting and engaging . If he could improve me in just 2 months, I wonder what he could do in a longer time. Would highly recommend.
