About Wisdom
Hi! I’m Wisdom, a passionate Mathematics and Further Mathematics tutor with several years of experience helping students understand, enjoy, and succeed in Mathematics.
I hold a B.Sc. in Statistics (Second Class Upper, 2:1) from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, with a CGPA of 4.49/5.00, as well as a National Diploma in Mathematics/Statistics (Upper Credit). My strong mathematical background, combined with years of classroom and private tutoring experience, has helped me develop a teaching approach that is both structured and personal.
Since 2017, I have taught Mathematics and Further Mathematics in schools and through private tutoring. I currently run WISE TUTORS ARENA, where I provide both online and offline individual lessons. I have helped students prepare for WAEC, NECO, JAMB, IGCSE, Cambridge Checkpoint, school examinations, and mathematical competitions.
I have also received training in Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics and AS & A Level Mathematics, and I hold a Gold Award Certificate from the National Mathematical Centre, Abuja.
But beyond qualifications and experience, I believe what really matters is how well a teacher understands their student.
I know that every learner is different. Some students need concepts broken down into very simple steps; others need more examples, practice, encouragement, or a different approach altogether. My job is to discover what works for you and adapt my lessons accordingly.
I am patient, approachable, and genuinely interested in my students’ progress. I encourage questions and mistakes because I believe they are an important part of learning. My goal is not simply to help you get the correct answer, but to help you understand why the answer is correct and develop the confidence to solve similar problems independently.
I also use online teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Google Classroom etc. to make lessons interactive and convenient for students learning remotely.
Whether you are struggling with Mathematics, preparing for an important examination, aiming for higher grades, or simply want to strengthen your mathematical skills, I would be happy to work with you.
