About Darius
I am a law school graduate with a passion for the written word. Throughout my academic and professional career, I've had many opportunities to hone my writing skills, and would like to impart this knowledge to others. It is my hope as an educator to ensure that my students become critical thinkers capable of expressing themselves with passion and precision.

Hi! My name is Darius, and I look forward to assisting you with your reading and writing needs. I'm a graduate of UC Berkeley School of Law, during which time I learned the importance of developing incisive and cohesive arguments. It is this precision that I hope to instill in my students, so that they are able to articulate themselves with clarity. I enjoy helping students craft essays for all purposes, but I particularly enjoy working on college application essays, as it provides the opportunity to link one's past experiences to future career goals.
Both before and after law school, I worked as an instructor for the Critical Reading Section of the SAT exam. In this role, I worked with high school students both in group and one-on-one settings. By helping students identify broader trends in the types of questions being tested, I sought to ensure that they understood why the wrong answers were wrong, and why the correct answer was correct. This resulted in a dialogue between me and the student, and allowed for an opportunity to refine critical thinking skills.
