About Yaawar

Hello! My name is Yaawar, and I am currently studying Biomedical Sciences at University College London (UCL). With a strong academic background and hands-on experience in both clinical and research settings, I bring not only subject knowledge but also a genuine passion for teaching. I have worked with students preparing for IGCSEs and A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. My approach is patient, structured, and supportive — I aim to build confidence, simplify complex concepts, and help students reach their academic goals. Parents and students can be assured of my professionalism, reliability, and commitment to creating a positive learning environment where questions are always welcome.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring
I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit individual needs. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, clear steps, often using real-life examples to make lessons engaging. I also encourage active questioning and discussion, so students feel confident, supported, and motivated.

Lesson Structure
A typical lesson lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s goals. I usually begin with a quick recap, then guide students through practice problems, and end with exam-style questions to strengthen understanding and exam technique.

My Experience
I am currently studying Biomedical Sciences at University College London (UCL). Alongside my academic studies, I have completed internships at a private clinic, a public hospital, and a pharmaceutical company, giving me real-world insights into science and healthcare. I have also achieved awards in the UKMT Maths Challenge, which demonstrate my strong problem-solving skills.
