About Nami
Hello! My name is Nami, and I am a passionate History teacher with a strong academic foundation in Psychology and Education, as well as practical experience tutoring learners of different ages. What makes me unique is the way I bring history to life through storytelling, critical thinking, and interactive activities that help students see the past as meaningful and relevant.
I am proficient in English and Afrikaans, and I adapt my lessons to suit each learner’s goals — whether you’re preparing for exams, improving essay skills, or simply exploring history out of curiosity. A typical lesson with me is structured yet flexible, with clear objectives, engaging discussions, and a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence.
My classes are aimed at school learners in the senior phase, as well as adults who want to deepen their understanding of history. I also enjoy connecting with learners online, making lessons accessible and interactive no matter where you are.
Outside of teaching, I love gardening, baking, photography, and watching films — interests that keep me creative and curious, qualities I bring into my teaching. I look forward to guiding you through the fascinating stories of the past and helping you achieve your learning goals!

I believe history should feel alive, not like a list of dates to memorise. My methodology blends storytelling, critical thinking, and interactive activities so students can connect the past to their own world. What makes me unique is my background in Psychology and Education, which allows me to adapt lessons to diverse learning needs with empathy and creativity.
